Basic Installation
==================

How to install this software:

  1. If you start from the dir where this file is...

  3. Type './configure'

  2. Type 'make' 

  3. Type 'make install' (as root)

  4. Type './upgrade' (as user)
     If you've got a preveous version of Jags installed 
     you should run upgrade.

  5. Type 'jags' to run the program. Now config-files will 
     be copied to your home-dir. You now need to open the 
     preferences dialog and set the preferences your way. 

  6. Maybe you want to set smbmount suid so that you can 
     use Jags as an ordinary user. You can do that by 
     executing "chmod +s smbmount". Don't do this if you are 
     note exactely sure of what you are doing.
     
Note: If're you're upgrading your plugins won't update 
      automaticly. Please run the upgrade-script found 
      in the same directory as this file.

Requirements
============

+ Gtk+ 1.2.* development-package (http://www.gtk.org)
+ Sh-compatible shell, grep, cut, awk and other unix tools
+ Samba-client and nmblookup, included in the samba 
  distribution (http://www.samba.org) and maybe smbmount.
+ A filebrowser, for example gmc or kfm or maybe xterm
+ vorbis ogg123 player (optional)

You also need to know one workgroup on your network.
